SelfHacked aims to be the top evidence-based health website. Our main mission is to empower people to improve their health by gaining access to cutting-edge, unbiased, science-based information.
While all products are chosen independently, we want you to know that SelfHacked may receive a small share of the revenue if you make a purchase at the retailer’s site within 24 hours of clicking on one of the links we provide.
SelfHacked depends on raising its financial resources through advertisements, subscriptions, affiliate income, consultation, sale of premium content and commission. Funding enables us to constantly publish posts about the most important health topics, reinvest in our products, support our experts, and provide you with more high-quality content overall.
Our funding in no way influences our editorial guidelines or the scientific rigor we apply to researching, creating, and editing any post.
Our marketing department is kept separate from our science department in order for there to be an unbiased content creation process.
Scientists have complete freedom to research any and all topics and report what they find, whatever the result is. We give the explicit instructions to follow the science and report on that in an unbiased manner.
It’s not uncommon for marketing to put a link to a product or supplement, when the post is negative towards that product or supplement, as a result of the separation between our science and market departments. Our main aim is to serve the reader best and offer the highest quality and most accurate content.
Having a link to a product in no way is an endorsement of the product or its effectiveness, unless we explicitly state that we support the product.
We receive funding from advertisements (Adthrive LLC), affiliation with our partner companies SelfDecode and LabTestAnalyzer, SelfHacked Subscriptions (VIP), premium content (Ebooks, online video courses), consults, and we receive a commission from micropulse (ICES), Braingauge, Joov light, Vielight (LLLT devices), Amazon, iHerb (supplements), Purenootropics (supplements), Ample Foods, Inc., Mark van Putte, Wellthy Network, LLC, Cortical Metrics, Elixinol, LLC, Neurohacker Collective, LLC, PuraTHRIVE, LLC, NG Enterprises, and others.
We generally choose the ads we display for affiliate or partner products and curate them accordingly. However, with our ad network (Adthrive LLC), the ads they show are not controlled by SelfHacked and are instead chosen by Adthrive and influenced by your own browsing history.
We make a clear distinction between ads and our editorial content.
Occasionally, we will publish content as part of a promotion of one of our sister companies or affiliates. These posts will be clearly distinguished from our other content. We only work with affiliates that align with our goals and mission. As a result, we only present products we believe are of value, high quality, and can improve our readers’ health.
The proceeds from the commission of your purchases are reinvested into our research and development, in order to serve you better. Thanks for your support!
