Shortly after I experience sleepiness; mental sluggishness; gastric discomfort;wobbliness. Do you think that there is a correlation? (Other2 are Calcium 600mg with D3 12.5 mcg and Bilberry Extract150mg). Also, near bedtime I take Magnesium 250mg to help with sleep and sometimes later take a product called Midnite. Morning & evening (6am & 6pm) meds are Metformin 1000mg; Levetiracetam500mg;EB-N6; Lisinopril20mgAM only; B12 2500mcg AM only; Amlodipine Besylate 10mgPM only. EB-N6 & B12 both include MagnesiumStearate. Do you think overall there’s too much Magn-Stearate? Other insights? Please advise.

Through trial and error I discovered that magnesium stearate was the culprit. When I eliminated magnesium stearate, all my pain I had increasingly for years went away in about 3 days. It had all started when I went on a daily med. I asked my doctors and pharmacist to help me find medications that did not have the ingredient of magnesium stearate. They were very kind and helpful.

This is why I was interested in your article. Very comprehensive article. Have you heard about the cottonseed oil allegations before?

I went about three years with rash, angioedema, and respiratory distress; before finding out that what I was allergic to was in tablets. I could take gel caps without reactions. During this time I was also diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease called Adult Onset Stills Disease. I felt then and still feel that the two illnesses were related. I encourage drug manufacturers to consider that this ingredient may not be the best to use and I would welcome more drugs with this ingredient missing! I am a registered nurse and have noted many people with the same kind of problems I have had and wonder how many people are reacting to this supposed inert ingredients that are felt to be safe and really aren’t? We as a country need to stop filling our bodies with this chemicals that mimic nature and use natural substances instead. Our genetic make up requires it!

I don’t have reactions to other meats …tho I may have preferences to minimize animal products… I have had Lyme with multiple co-infections that affected me neurologically. Gluten also affects me neurologically.
Interesting article…I appreciate the stimulus to do more research.

According to that study, stearic acid causes the collapse of cell membrane integrity—an effect that was found to be time and dose dependent—which, ultimately, can destroy cell function.

Alpha-Gal is caused by the bite of the Lone Star Tick and has become the largest cause of anaphylactic shock. Along with tick disease I also have low thyroid and when I started the meds my attacks became much worse and I finally found out through the internet what I had. I am now on a strict non-mammalian diet, I was lucky!!!! The reaction is more like 6 or 7 hours after ingestion.
