I had a long battle with an illness that doctors could not figure out and after I spent months researching, found that I had a lithium deficiency. I had horrible tremors and felt like I had Parkinson’s or ALS. Doctors looked for those things as well, but ruled them out. Anyways, when I ordered the lab work (myself) for my lithium levels after I came to the conclusion that could be it, the lab couldn’t find any trace in my system after running my blood work multiple times. So, my point is, I was very, very deficient. I was mildly deficient in Zinc, but basically any other testing I had done of minerals was fine. Since I have been supplementing with Lithium orotate now for about 2 months, I basically have my life back. However, my lithium levels were just tested again and there is still none showing up on my bloodwork….like none at all still. My doctors are following me on this, I am literally leading them. They have never seen something like this before, so I’m wondering if you can help out.
I’m wondering if you have an idea what could be causing such a severe deficiency in me that it would affect me like this, and why it would still show I’m deficient. Would me being deficient mean it’s not bioavailable or I need more time on it maybe…? Also…could I in fact have had a neurodegenerative disease beginning to show signs and lithium is implicated…and that’s why it’s so depleted?
