Has L-fopa been shown to help people with epileptic disorders? I’ve suffered two TBI’s and have an epileptic disorder. I am overweight, a light smoker and built like an NFL lineman (I’m huge and strong). I’m being treated for my epileptic disorder by a neurologist at Yale/New Haven Hospital.

My symptoms started at the age of 47. My fingers on my left hand were stiff and were difficult to move. People noticed that my walk was not normal. I was often asked did I hurt. I noticed nothing different about my walk. It was difficult getting up from` a chair and getting out of a car. I was diagnosed a year later ,it was the onset of tremors starting in my right hand that caused my other symptoms to be recognized as Parkinson’s.. I am now 59.

It beats the alternative which is excess adrenaline/noradrenaline (epinephrine/norepinephrine) due to COMT conversion, especially if you have a mutation already.

Cleanest way is green tea extract or EGCG taken with the L-DOPA dose.

I personally don’t recommend MAO-B inhibition.

To stabilize the levels of dopamine, L-DOPA can be taken with drugs that inhibit dopamine breakdown, such as monoamine oxidase-B (MAO-B) inhibitors and catechol-O-methyltransferase (COMT) inhibitors [R, R].

That’s natural???
