I also take magnesium & calcium ascorbate
Plus iodine
All this was working well & my weight was down, energy up
But when my post menopause started about 1 year ago I began to gain weight as well as bloating
2 months ago I went on Milk thistle & grape seed extract
I am now taking a natural menopause relief for about 1. Month I as yet haven’t noticed any difference
My question is, if I add inulin will it help?

While such an inulin-containing diet did stave off obesity, some of the mice started to develop jaundice. After six months, many of these mice developed liver cancer.”
“We importantly demonstrated that soluble fiber, while it generally beneficially impacts health, can also become detrimental, leading to diseases as severe as liver cancer,”

Although this was in mice (Because scientists seem to think humans are mice or other poor none human creatures) people should act with caution where Inulin and refined fiber are concerned until there are some human tests.

Some of these studies go back to the year 2000. And yet here we are in the year 2018 and I can’t find even one long chain HP inulin supplement available to consumers. Scientists and researchers have access to it, and so do some commercial grade companies, but not the ordinary consumer. The closest I have found is Jarrow’s Orafti Synergy 1 brand, but it does not contain pure long chain inulin. It contains a mixture. If anyone knows where an ordinary consumer can purchase pure long chain HP inulin please let me know.

It was key in my recovery. I still take 1 scoop (around 5 grams) per day in milk for maintenance. It also tastes great, being mildly sweet.
