Yes I don’t get it either. Gotu Kola is supposed to increase Gaba but in my case does nothing but if I take Ginkgo there is a huge and noticeable improvement in my mood which suggests a boost in gaba? I’m lost?

Many pple witih anxiety who have been in benzo are interested in finding active components such as l-theanine or bacopa monieri, that upregulate gaba density receptor. So there is relevance in investigating gingko. Similarly to taurine, the below article suggest it both increases gaba decarboxilase but is also a gaba agonist, potentially resulting in gana downregulation. This is not clear but your take on this would be appreciated

I don’t take ginkgo, but I’ve been regularly taking half a teaspoon of ashwagandha powder each day. If a person had to choose between the two, which would you say is more beneficial?
