Gabapentin gave me some of the worst withdrawals of my life and that was with a small daily dose (600-900mg). I have experienced benzo and opiate withdrawals and gabapentin beat them all. It’s a very tricky drug as it takes a few weeks longer to get tolerant to but once it takes hold you have to taper it in incredibly small amounts (IE: 25-50mg a week!) or else feel like you are going crazy.
