Those of you still concerned with whether you need to take ubiquinone or ubiquinol – more and more absorption research is indicating that the form does not matter. I was reading about absorption research from Dr. William Judy, who found that ubiquinol is oxidized in the stomach before reaching the point of absorption in the small intestines. But the super interesting part about this research was that after absorption in the thoracic duct it had been converted back to ubiquinol again. The lesson here would suggest: The form is not important – ubiquinol is oxidized prior to absorption and becomes ubiquinone, however, the body cycles back and forth between the two forms anyways. Since the difference is a mere two electrons and ubiquinone is used in ATP production and its byproduct is ubiquinol. Ubiquinol’s primary function is as an antioxidant. The byproduct of ubiquinol donating two electrons to free radicals is ubiquinone. That should put the discussion of which form to take to rest – because it does not matter. The only thing that matters is that you buy a good, quality product with good absorption, no matter the form.

CoQ10 is owned nature is not stable to light. One system that can be protected
CoQ10 from degradation is Solid Lipid Nanoparticle (SLN). SLN is a colloid carrier system with a core composed of lipids solid and surfactant. In topical use, the SLN system has an effect adhesive and occlusive which increases skin hydration. In addition, there are entrapment of drug molecules in the SLN system that is able to protect that molecule sensitive to the environment from degradation.

No doubt its the best site I know for finding information about supplements.

QH combined with PQQ and NR/NADH is a great combo for mitochondrial support!

I have considered bacopa, but then I was concerned about trying it since I found some info suggesting that it actually speeds up the pathway that converts tryptophan into serotonin. I am still open to trying it though, and I will definitely look into the others as well!

When dopamine is low, she gets mopey and sad. She also has MAOA and COMT gene mutations. When dopamine gets too high, she can’t metabolize it and get rid of it which makes her hulk out. She has issues with CoQ10 raising dopamine but has no issues at all with ubiquinol.

As an aside, if you have issues metabolizing neurotransmitters, methylcobolamin, adenosylcobalamin (different types of B12), D-Ribose and bacopa all help with too much neurotransmitters. You shouldn’t need all of them to help but at least you now have a list that you can try to see if it helps your situation.

I’m very sensitive to changes in brain chemistry and want to avoid these things.

Thanks
