Ah, now that I do a search, I see there is quite a bit of info. I will look into it and see if it is a condition of treating malaria or if it would have the same effect on preexisting anemia in other diseases. Not sure if they have discovered the mechanism why, which could help me understand it better. Thank you for this article – had I not read this, I would have already started taking it to treat my autoimmune conditions. I appreciate this info so much!

Hello! I am doing a search, but am wondering if, beside the ncbi link you provided, there are other resources to look at in regards to Artemisinin causing hemolysis. I am super interested in trying it out for my autoimmune illnesses, but the problem is, I have both aplastic anemia and PNH (autoimmune caused hemolysis) and am needing to decide if Artemisinin would cause more problems than it would potentially solve. Thank you in advance for any info you can link me to!

Hi. Thanks for the info. On a side note, they recently found the whole plant to be more effective than the artimisinin extract at least for parasites. Something about the synergy of the parts.

In the second week of a 2 week cleanse using strong ( wormwood tea that I brew). Already my gut is less bloated , I have slightly more energy and a more balanced state of mind.

Interesting!… I was diagnosed last Sept. in Reynosa, Mexico with CLL (ZAP-70, and CD-38 NEGATIVE, NO LYMPH NODES, NO CHANGE IN INTERNAL BODY ORGANS, though CBC results going back to 2010 show some suspicious levels of absolute lymphocytes they hover between 5,000 and 6,000, with WBC NORMAL 10.4 to up to around 15. I feel normal, though I take Life Extentions’ Green Tea extract, and curcumin with piperine. I haven’t tried the 2 bottles of Artimisinin capsules yet pending much further personal researching.

I was diagnosed with phase 4 tubular prostate cancer. PSA 901, Gleeson score 8. The oncologist imm put me on 3 month Lucrin injections. For a second line treatment I used the malaria tablet Coartem. It is a combination of Artemether and Lumefantrine. I used it for 16 months. The cancer shrink down to phase 3 and I received external beam radiation.
To answer your question. Artemether stays for 12 hrs in the bloodstream. It is best absorb with oil like fish oil or a little bit of fullcream milk. I used fish oil, as recommended by dr Rowen. My PSA is now 0.67 and still going down.

Any idea how long it took on this to get WBCs to a normal (optimal?) level?

Artemisinin also has a anti-CLL effect, which is why I am taking it. I know someone with CLL who had his WBC return to normal while taking this substance.
